Tiree Watson – HNC Childhood Practice Graduate

Tiree Watson, from Fort William, graduated with an HNC in Childhood Practice after starting her journey with UHI North, West and Hebrides as a Lochaber High School pupil. She went on to complete the National Certificate and HNC, taking breaks along the way to raise her children.

Reflecting on her experience, Tiree shared:

"It doesn’t matter what age you are, there’s always a path for you. UHI allowed me to study at my own pace and fit education around my life. Over my 10 years with UHI, the support from lecturers and student services has been incredible, especially with my dyslexia. Without their help, I wouldn’t be where I am today."

Now working as a pupil support assistant with Highland Council, Tiree aspires to become a nursery teacher and is open to further study to pursue a career in primary education.
